When did we as citizens give the government, city, police etc., the right to watch us everywhere in public? Not just in public either, this small building across the street from my primary residence just installed a 360' rotation and zoom camera which could look into my living room! I think some legislation to restrict the camera range/resolution to their own property is due.
All of our train transit platforms and many of our major intersections have these redlight and surveillance cameras. That combined with blackboxes and ONSTAR tracking devices in our cars we are being enslaved with this technology that is advertised as freeing us!
The teens today as always, are early adopters of new technology and are jumping face first into imprisonment. The cellphones with or without gps, fingerprinting as children internet tracking(cookies etc)all reduce the freedom of movement and association. Because of the nature of the technology, all wireless devices can be used to track the users of Blackberrys, PDA's, cellular phones, laptops and so on. When you move across the city or country these devices "hand off" to the cell wireless towers located in different parts of the city or country. Therefore your cellular can be used as a low rez tracking device. This technology is "improving" though.
